Day 20: H20 (Water)

This is a fountain on our dresser.

I love the water.

Hearing it through the night is very soothing to me.

Day 19: Summer Fun

Days off are great fun. And it is SUMMER so- This was SUMMER FUN.

First Stop- P.F. Chang's where the kids killed it!
Then across the street to the Al Shaab Park. It just happened to be Independance Day for Jordan so there was a lot of music and dancing.
Me and DJ

She is finally on a ride. Mims has been really scary lately. I am getting her back right though! This thing put us upside down. It was fun!

Mims and DJ on another ride.
DJ is just too cool!
She was not tall enough for the "Space Shot"
She was TOO happy about that!
Me and DJ went on though!
Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! That was FAST!!!
Gustavo and DJ on a ride.
Mimsi wasn't tall enough for this one...
So she got to pick the next ride!  Gustavo in front:)
Yes- The Pink Horse, of course!
Flying thru the sky~ Swings are so fun and fast!
In Kuwait they have these "MEGA FUN PLACES" as the kids call it all over the place. In Malls and outside as well.
Gustavo trying to win me a BIG teddy bear... He was SOOOOOO close.
Those are some HUGE lollipops!
Mims shopping... We needed a blender and she found them! I decided not to get it though:(
Mimi is on this "Healthy Tip" and she thinks V8 Fusion is going to be "good for her" because she sees all the fruits and veggies on there... Let's see if she likes it! Even if she doesn't, I think she will finish them. This is the only 6 year old I know who asks for Water when out to eat! Determined.... Check

Can you see the sheep in the back of the truck? Try explaining that to the kids!
Every Friday we do Pizza and Movie night... Since we already ate, we just watched the movie.
Summer Fun INDEED!

Day 18: Eyes

These are my eyes. Gustavo was playing around with the MACBOOK (iPhoto) and made them look so pretty:) This was me at Halloween and two Kuwaiti girls from downstairs did my eyes up! I feel so blessed to live where we do. The Kuwaiti family has embraced us and I really like them.
When I was pregnant I prayed that my children would have green eyes... When they were born they looked green... But now they are telling me, "Mommy- My eyes are Hazel!" I have learned not to argue back because they are right... They have beautiful eyes though... I will post them. I wish mine were as big as theirs are!

Dj has a paint spot (as his Aunt Stephanne dubbed it) in one eye which I think is so darn CUTE! I love the shape of his eyes.

Mimsi- Who can say, "NO" to this face? I can- I am immune! LOL. She has some brown in the middle of her eyes. I love their eyes!!!

Day 17: Bokeh- Experiment Mims

"Domiyana- Look up"
Yes! I blurred her!!!
                                                                     Darn- what happened???
So I tried and TRIED... To get a Bokeh shot... I think that the second one is okay, right? I learned how to blur the background. Kudos! We were on our way to Tiffany & Co. I try to bring the camera EVERYWHERE!

Day 16: A Jar

Jar- Ummm, Well- I walked in the kitchen it these were the CLOSEST objects I could find to a JAR. That being said... Rice, Pasta and Sugar. I believe that Gustavo and I bought these at IKEA. To be honest- I hated going there with him when we first got to Kuwait. I haven't dared trying to go back with him there yet. LOL.

The Little Leprechaun came from "The Irish Village" in Dubai
When Gustavo and I were in Dubai the first time I took him there and he loved it. So he went back without me but brought back goodies for the house. When you are in there, it is like you are somewhere else... Not in the Middle East. Great spot!

Just a couple of shots

I was sitting on my couch as the kids were cleaning up the table and I looked around and thought, "WOW, I love our home!"
There are so many little things that give our home charm.
I started pointing, shooting and playing with settings to enhance my photos.
Gustavo was quite proud that I learned how to blur the background:)
I am not sure if anyone notices- But I always try to pick up things that represent our family. Daddy, Mommy and two babies.
I must say that the camera that Gustavo picked was a good one. There are a lot of settings but each one of them has a description. It makes the camera kinda dummy proof but doesn't make taking photos any easier.

Day 15: ACTION

I had the kids running around out side for a while today! It is so hot it is hard to leave them out there too long. I wanted to catch a couple of shots of them but... Did not get a good one. In America you see people going to Wal Mart in their PJs... In Kuwait... The kids wear PJs all day and they run around in them. The clothes that the maids wear also seem very PJ like... Why should DJ and Mimi be any different? I want them to blend in... And honestly- That was why I didn't snap any photos... However... here are so action shots... My Mims giving me some sugar:

When we were in Dubai... Dj kept asking for underwater Goggles... Everytime I went to the shop... They were sold out... DJ remembers everything so when I saw some in Kuwait... You best believe he got them. Isn't he so cute:)?

Day 14: Someone I Love

This is my Family. They are the people that I love. Having a son, a daughter and a wonderful man make going home everyday a treat.

I know that DJ is going to be taller than Gustavo very soon! LOL.
They are such a cute bunch! And they let me practice using my new camera with them!

They Love him... TOO MUCH!
Can you see it?
Xena felt like she was missing out!
Look... They are watching Xena... I think that she is -SPOILED-!!! LMAO. This camera is fast!

Day 13: Childhood Reminder

This is Take Care Bear... She is a CARE BEAR... These characters were my FAVE when I was a kid and growing up. I am glad that I have a daughter and that she loves stuffed animals! This is her first Care Bear. When she was a baby I used to buy her all kinds of Care Bear stuff and her crib was Care Bears as well. Mims is so Retro because she also loves My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake! Well- Now you know:)

So- I saw this on a random ladies blog (  that I enjoyed reading. I must say it reminds me of Dj and Mimi so much!!! They are always singing in the backseat and they sing this song all the freaking time~! Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Since I am working on Mother's Day... Like most Holidays... We get to celebrate early:)
Yesterday we went Jet-Skiing. It was a lot of fun. I knocked out early and woke up SUPER early. I decided to bake a cake. My cousin sent me a picture of an Oreo filled Cake... (No directions though; oddly enough) It looked good. So I tried it! I found the recipe at:
Below are the results:)

Can you say, "YUMMMMMMMY"?
It tastes so much better then it looks! Next time- I will frost the whole cake with this Greatness. Gustavo has a new favorite:)
This card came from Domiyana. It is so sweet.

I know she got some help from her Daddy and DJ

My "Sweety"
This is from My DJ

He put a lot of effort in this. It has all of us going to an Ice Cream shop and Kiki and Karina saying, "Hi" from across the street:)
My son thinks I am a Star!!! Mission Complete!
When I woke up this Afternoon... DJ and Domiyana carried these beautiful flowers to me:) Thanks Gustavo
This is my Mother's day gift. Canon EOS 600D.
It is VERY hard to work. Gustavo is giving me homework. Slowly but surely I will figure this out!
This is photo I took with my new camera.

Thank You Dj, Mimi and Gustavo for a wonderful Mother's Day!
Jet-Skiing, Carinos, Gifts and Cake! Gotta Love it!
