Twin Amber and Ron

Amber may be 9 months pregnant... But she still has a sense of HUMOR!
She is LOVIN' French Fries with Ketchup and Mayo.... And a side of PICKLES? Yes- You read it right! LOL. I cannot wait to meet ALLYANA! I hope that Amber will be able to make it to DJ's Birthday party! He named her one of the COLLEST people he knows. LOL. Mimi takes a very DEFENSIVE stance over Amber as well. In the store she stays with her so no one "TAKES her"... Gotta love 'em!

Fat Friday!!!

In English and Arabic!
I never get tired of taking pictures when it is in English and Arabic:)
 Everywhere...

Amber X's 1...

Amber X's 2 (Dos Amber)
Mimi, Maryann and DJ
The menu!
Waiting for their food:)
Amber has Skinny Fries!
I had the FAT Fries and the Single Cheese Burger as did the Cubs
Can you say, "YUMMY"?
I think this may be the BEST burger I have had in the Middle East! I may have to do so more case studies though! Gustavo used to tell me that a burger is a burger... But there are so many differences!
Fat Burger is in the SPOONS plaza in Mahboula.

Going to GOA!!!

I really would love to travel around the Middle East but considering everything that is going on... I decided it is best to skip those trips for now. If I was alone it would be different... But I gotta protect my CUBS:)
Dubai is great... But honestly I have been there so many times that it is nothing spectaular to me anymore. And why not take advantage of the CHEAP trips!!!
We are going to G-O-A! That is going to be our next Mini Vacation! Google has helped me provide some reasons why:

I know that we will have fun! Now let the PLANNING begin!!!

Bowling without Mommy!

I was looking at the phone that I let the kids/Nanny use and I saw that they took pictures... So I sent them to myself!
 Bowling! My babies LOOK HUGE!
Mimi and the bird. VERY tame now. It has almost been a YEAR!
My baby is such a nerd! She did get high score though! With NO BUMPERS!!!
This picture made me think of all the kids/teenagers I used to see on FB making crazy faces... I can tell that he is going to be one of those kids! LOL
 Fun times! Goofy!
Mimi thinks that Maryann is her own personal DOLL! She is always pulling on her! She wants her around all the time! LOL. Poor Maryann!

Give Back

Last night I had another dream about GIVING BACK...
So I went to GOOGLE... I found the below blog post at : http://americaninkuwait.blogspot.com/2008/12/volunteering-in-kuwait.html

I will have to add these two "Blogsters" to my reading list!
Here is a well collected list of places you can volunteer in Kuwait prepared by Desert Girl

Volunteering in KuwaitAs an expat in Kuwait, you may occasionally find yourself with free time on your hands. Your spouse and children might need something to do as well. Like being in your home country, there are many people in your local community who could use your assistance.

Volunteerism in Kuwait isn’t terribly different from what we are used to. There are still special needs, elderly, animal rights, and environmental groups. If you worry about a language barrier, when it comes down to compassion, no one really cares what language you speak. You will find that you will get your point across one way or another; and perhaps learn more about the local culture than you thought.

The listings below (in alphabetical order) represent ways in which you can help your local community. Remember that if you are too busy to donate your time, you can always donate resources.

Abeer2. Abeer2 is part of the Kuwait Voluntary Work Center (KVWC) (see below). It is a volunteer program in assistance of children with special needs in Kuwait. The program includes various activities: After school program, summer camp, life skills training, horseback riding, field trips, sports, workforce training. For additional information, contact: Phone/fax: 25382802, phone: 7400062, 7550443, http://www.abeer2.com/ or see their sub-page on the KVWC site listed below.
Al Kharafi Activity Kids Center. The center was developed to help special needs children play with their peers within a safe and enjoyable environment whilst developing their physical, emotional, social, and verbal abilities. We concentrate on training the children to deal with each other and communicate in a nurturing non-discriminatory environment. Volunteers play a vital role in running the center. For information visit http://www.kharafi-akc.org.kw/

Animal Friends League (AFL). “We strive to improve the quality of animals' lives in Kuwait by rescuing animals and providing them with shelter, food and medical attention; educating people about the basic needs and proper treatment and care of animals. We also encourage spaying and neutering to control the animal overpopulation. The need of animals in Kuwait has never been greater. Once cherished family members, pets can now be found in alarming numbers wandering the streets in a pitiful condition. A number of people discovered this need and realized that something had to be done; thus, Animal Friends League of Kuwait was born.” For more information visit http://www.animalfriendskuwait.org/

Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice. A hospice is a program or facility that provides special care for people who are near the end of life and for their families. Volunteers make a difference in a child's life in hospital, bringing about a sense of normality, care, and fun. Throughout the years volunteers have unselfishly given their time by contributing in many different ways, helping provide children in hospital with a friendly positive atmosphere. Whether it is by playing with the children in hospital, decorating the pediatric wards to promote a child friendly environment, helping in the office or at fundraising events, volunteers play a significant role in supporting KACCH in its aims and goals. Tina Maria Turner

I know that everyone in the World has a BESTIE... But I bet that mine is BETTER. Mine isn't even a Bestie... She is a BESTEST:)

I was 13 years old the first time that I was called an "AMAZON"... Though I really disliked her and the term... I have adapted now to both.... My nickname is "Ambazon" or "She Hulk" and her MEAN tail... Has been my best friend almost 15 years!

We have had a LOT of bumps in the road along the way... And many people do not like or cannot accept our friendship for what it is... I must say... At the end of the day... I TRUST her... I love her! And no matter what happens... When she needs me, I am there... And VICE VERSA.

Good Friends are so hard to find!

Since I have been out of the country for a VERY long time... I have lost touch with ALMOST everyone... Even my family but it seems like Tina is alway available for me.

When I get home I am going to find some pictures of the two of us and post them... There was a time when we weighed the same... I think it was in the 90's though!!!
I tried to steal pictures from her FB... But it froze:(

Now- I have a little girl who talks back...and Asks A LOT of questions!!! What is next??? Thanks Gustavo! LOL

Distance

Distance and Time are two very harsh words in a relationship. Long Distance Relationships are difficult. Communication is KEY. As I am learning!!!

GOOGLE is helping a lot with some great ideas and insight from others who are in the same situation or who have been in the same situation.

I went through my phone and I saw some old pictures... So- I figured I would post them!
I love this man because he treats me like a QUEEN. He listens and he respects me. The thing that I miss the most about him... his KISSES!!!

We are such a cute couple... I know:)
These are the MEN in my life... DJ has taken his role as "MAN of the house" very serious!

This girl is crazy for her Daddy!!!
