House so far

We are building a house... It has not been an EASY project! It has actually been stressful. I am not sure if it is hard because we are in Kueait and building in Florida... Or if it is just normal while building.
I should be getting weekly updates and photos... But. I don't! I have been using only the Homebuilder Rep and I did not get a realtor.

Here are the pictures that I received a couple of weeks ago!
I am hoping to get an update soon. We are waiting to see what the shutters, stone accents and all the colors will look like!

Gustavo and I will be going home in November to close on the house. There is so much that still needs to be done!
To help knock out some of the small things. We have been ordering online and we have been sending the packages to my Bestie's (Tina Turner) house. We will send a POD to her house and then have it shipped to our house.
So far we have gotten:
1. The kids' bathroom stuff. (Nautical Theme)
2. Decor for Mimster's bedroom (Black, Pink and White: Paris Theme)
3. Decor for DJ's room (Space-The final frontier!)
4. Small paintings and accents for around the house
5. A fireplace:)
6. We got our bed clothes

I like to try and get the things that we like opposed to having to settle for what the store has. Plus- Buying EVERYTHING at once is a heck of a task!

I am tasking Gustavo to a Honey Do list when we arrive.
I feel awful that we are not taking the kids this time, but... I think that it is better. They just got back from America in August and it was 5k for the tickets! Since we are not going to be in the States very long, We decided that it was best for the kids to stay put. We will be doing a lot of running around and there will not be much for the kids to do.
(No TV, NO video games, No toys, ETC.)
I am so excited to get to the house and start decorating the house!
I have SO many ideas in my head!
I am really excited to see my family at home and I hope that I will be able to see them all!

Gustavo and I were exploring different options for the next visa run. The only dates available are RIGHT before Ramadan... So- Bahrain it will be! It is a short flight, no layovers and I am sure as long as there is a pool the kids will be happy.
When I first got with Gustavo I told him of a dream that I had... I dreamt that I was in a Spanish speaking country and that I worked at an orphanage. Perhaps that was me getting my calling... I do not know. I only know that my passion is to help people. Gustavo sent me this link and it only re-confirmed how beautiful his soul is:
This would be a great vacation idea! And it is giving back! I know that we will do this trip! Sooner or Later!
Seeing these sides of my partner only deepen the love and respect that I have for him. Noble and Humble... were just added to his list of great attributes.

Who Knew?

I am totally loving this stove top. It is super cool and I haven't seen many of them before. The double ovens on the side and then a stove top that is flushed to the counter. I think I am going to have to get this! I have to GOOGLE it and see if I can find any up-close shots.

My realtor has asked me an important question: What kind of grass do you want? Green is not an answer:) Bermuda or St. Augustine? I have to think about things that I never thought about before. Then I have to give a breakdown to Gustavo. I always have homework:) Together we make decisions that are right for us.
Building a house is really hard work.
We are slowly knocking out options and questions... poco a poco
I still do not know which grass we are going to pick:)

Building a House

After working overseas a while and traveling a lot... There comes a time when one starts to think about planting roots somewhere. To have a home. A place to live and grow as a family. This is the point that we are currently at. After doing a lot of research on areas, we have decided where we are going to move. I was looking in Florida but then a co-worker of mine had me pull up a builder. I completely fell in love with the style. Gustavo's style is a lot like mine, he is just cheaper (You know it is true) It sounds fine and dandy to say, "We are going to build" But the truth is- It is a very difficult prject. More so because I am very detail oriented. Things that I never paid much mind to before are now becoming my main focus. For example: The other day we went out with some friends to eat. I noticed the different colors of wood, tiles, lighting and even the walls in the bathroom. Something so simple becomes so complicated. The vision is in my head- I just do not know how to get them all out. Being super creative is hard because you never know if you are conveying your ideas properly.
