House of Mirrors- Kuwait

My dear friend, JOE and I went to the House of Mirrors in Kuwait!
Joe is a the most WELL traveled person I know. I think that he has been to 35 countries (and counting) I like talking to him and my husband doesn't have a problem with it, so it is a win win!
I LOVED it! Lidia was an energetic and COMPLETELY awesome lady! I loved this place! DO NOT wear heels, if you do, bring slide on shoes as well. (I did!) Be prepared to be there about two hours. She has you do a lot while you are in the house. She tells stories and explains a lot!
Lidia is from ITALY!
It is 2 KD (almost 8.00 USD) to go on the week day and 3 KD (a lil over 10.00 USD) to go on a week end.
I have all of the info at the end of this post!
Take a look below:
The outside, you can't miss it!
This is the sitting area

More pictures as we were awaiting the rest of the guests!

All of the upstairs is ART, ART and more art!

This is a drawing of Lidia when she was younger:)

She is asking what is this made out of?

I won... I am so clever. Since I got the right answer, I got a prize!
Looks like a Patron Saint, don't you think?

I loved this piece

I had to REALLY bend down to take a picture with her!

She took a picture of us

Me, Alone... :(

I am feeling so sad today…

My Baby Bears (Dj and Mimi) are going to America at the end of the weekL and Papa Bear (Gustavo) is in Afghanistan… Seems like he will be back in 125 days!!! SO… I will be here in Kuwait ALONE for the first time in 2 years!!!
At least Mary Ann isn’t leaving me!!! But the question still is:

What am I going to do???

My sweet “Miss Idaho” is going to be in America too!!! Geez- I feel like I am missing something!
I would like to also add that TODAY is my 2nd Anniversary being in Kuwait!!!
Looking back, Time has FLOWN!

Contract Scare!

There are cuts being made all over the US Govt'... It also affects the CONTRACTING WORLD! Luckily- I am safe... For now! I will not get into the details about the contract... as I have never been one to talk about things if I am not a Subject Matter Expert (Ask anyone who has ever made a bet against me!)

HOWEVER- There is a job fair going on... RIGHT NOW. May 2-3 at the Hilton Resort in Fahaheel.
Here is the flyer.

Red Hair

I have been slacking on blogging lately!

I felt so BUMMED because my MACBOOK PRO crashed... So I lost ALL of my pictures! What fun is blogging without pictures?    NONE!

I have changed my hair color... I went to red. I wasn't sure if red would work with the different color lipsticks that I grew to love... But I decided it was time for a change. Honestly- Being blond(ish) is great because I do think that you can wear whatever color lipstick that you want... But... Change is always good.  I went to a hole in the wall place... And I loved the hair cut that I received!!! The color is great too! I know red will always fade! But we shall see what comes of it. The salon is Salon Montana. It is on Exit 211. The lady's name was Selma. Here it is!!!

As some of my dearest readers may remember... Gustavo and I built a house. We were COMPLETELY in love with the house and PICKED everything... Long story short, after many missed deadlines and an unsightly tree...

We decided that we no longer wanted the house.
My heart was BROKEN! I had everything shipped and ready to move in...

THEN- We found a second house that honestly, was not everything we wanted... But it was ok. In the end, Gustavo talked me out of that house too! (Thanks Babe!!! Good Call!!!)

I am getting closer to the DIRTY THIRTY and I am feeling the need to SETTLE. I am looking for the 3 S's (Safety, Security, Stability)

One thing that I love about Gustavo is that he is like me as far as adventure, travel and taking the easier but not so traveled road!

We have NO intention of returning to AMERICA. Not to live.

We are setting our sites SOUTH of the border to Central America!

Most people just look at us like we are crazy when we tell them that we are going to Nicaragua; but heck, we are used to those looks!

Here are our main reasons:

1. Low cost of living: 1 USD to 24.40 Nicaragua cordoba

2. Low MURDER rate (13:100,000) Steady for 5 years:)

3. Beautiful weather, cheap medical and a fresh start!

Alright... Ok!!!

Gustavo and a couple of Bloggin' Babes have been getting on to me for not blogging! I am not going to make excuses for my laziness... HOWEVER- I would like to note that my MACBOOK PRO crashed... I am hoping my photos will be saved! (I will cry if they are LOST forever)
---Dear Indian Man at the Workshop... Please work your magic!!!!
Once I find out if I still have photos... I will catch EVERYONE up on the Thailand trip!
I look forward to blogging and I will try my hardest to KEEP at it!
