If I could SAVE the World...

Sittng in my office, I hear CNN ALL DAY LONG! CNN International is NOT like CNN in America!

It is far less sensored.

It shows dead bodies... and EVERYTHING...

If I could change the World...

Here are a couple things that I would start with right away:

1. Stop letting CHILDREN get married.
- Mimi is 7 years old... I could not, FOR NO AMOUNT OF MONEY, sell her to a MAN.
(Or anyone)
There are so many articles about how these young children are dying... Being SOLD by their own families to MUCH older men.
What do you think little girls know about marriage? More over, what do they know about sex? I saw an article (Read it here) about an 8 year old dying from internal bleeding... It is sick. As a mother, as a WOMAN, it makes my stomach hurt!

2. Get rid of ALL nuclear weapons
- Why do we have them, if we shouldn't use them? I would have all these SUPER GENIUS' come up with a way to destroy them all. There is no need for them. ZERO reason to have them!

3. Send CRIMINALS to Mars
- I see how people want to go and live on Mars... Better idea... Send all the killers, rapists, and those guys who are marrying 8 year olds up there! Use them to build a World up there... I wonder if any of them would make it? I doubt it. I hate that there are SO many TAX dollars going to feeding, sheltering and educating people who have committed the biggest SINS whilst hard working people can barely make a living.

I think that 3 changes are enough for now. I will never be the President of the United States or Ruler of the WORLD... But if I was.........

Tips to help avoiding abduction in Kuwait

This post is mainly for women!

As many of you have seen... In the Middle East, being a women doesn't mean much! Women are treated more like OBJECTS then like human beings!

Unfortunately, Ethnicity also is a HUGE factor in how you are treated!

If you are an American, Canadian, or British you are treated better then Asians, Indians and Africans.
I am not sure why it is this way... But TRUST ME when I say that it is.

I read FAR too often how women are kidnapped, beat, raped or even killed.

Here are some tips to help avoid this.

1. Travel in a group! Do not walk around by yourself!!! There is a sense of power in numbers!

2. Do not dress Flashy or Trashy. We live in a very conservative country. Respect their culture

3. If you feel like you are being followed, find a security guard
(One day I was walking in Fahaheel. I saw a man 4 times in different locations... I started to pay attention and realized that he was following us (I was with my Nanny and daughter) I went into The X-Cite store and watched him for a bit, then I saw a group of Americans. It was 2 or 3 men and one woman. I asked them to walk us to the car, and they did) It is better to be safe... then to be sorry.

4. Pay attention to your surroundings. Look for landmarks. Look at the people around you. If you start feeling un-easy... Get out of that area

5. Do not take just ANY taxi. When you do take a taxi other than your usual, take a picture of the license plate or the placard behind the driver's seat. (If there isn't one, GET OUT of the CAR)

6. In the event that you are being attacked: FIGHT. SCREAM. Make a show! Hopefully it will scare them off or get you some help.

7. When you are driving and a man is trying to get your attention, keep your eyes FORWARD. DO NOT STOP THE CAR! I know it is scary, as they will get in front of you and push their brakes as well, IGNORE THEM. If you can, Get your phone out and take a picture, that generally gets them to BACK OFF!!!

In Kuwait,
Dial: 2389-9911 (On Post)

Dial: 112 (Off Post)

***Remember to always tell someone where you are going!!! And keep your CELL phone handy!!!***

If you have any other ideas that you might want to share... Please leave a comment!

Be Safe Y'all!

If you are thinking about throwing a party. This place was great. They play games with the kids for like 3 hours... Feed them, do the cake and then let them out to play with all of the games.
I liked it because it was BIG and not crowded! That is a HUGE plus! I think that I would take them back there again!

Guess What? IVF in Kuwait

Gustavo and I have been talking about having another baby since we have been married... We are never together long enough to make it happen though!

I tied my tubes when Mimster was born. I didn't think that I wanted more kids. She was a BIG surprise to me! And what a joy! She keeps us on her toes!
DJ is an easy kid. It doesn't take much to keep him happy!
I love them. They say a Mother's love only multiplies, never divides!

So- Let's start multiplying!

The first step: Get the swimmer's tested!
- I finally got Gustavo to go and spray some babies into a cup! It was very easy... You just walk in, get a cup, pay 23 KD (80.00 USD) Ummm, Release, and then in a couple hours, you have your results! Looks like Gustavo has some GOLD METAL SWIMMERS!!!! YAY!!!

Step Two:
It took me about a week... And a lot of research to decide to go in and see the doctor.
I waited for about an hour to see the doctor. He asked if I knew about IVF and I did. I broke it down the way I understood it... And clearly I was right. Then I met 'WANDA' I had an Ultra-Sound. (INTERNAL) He checked out my Uterus and said, "Looks good"

Okay- Now what?
- Hysteroscopy
- Start injections
- When my period comes, new injections
- Egg Retrival
- Egg Transfer
- Wait 2 weeks...
- Are we pregnant or Not???

Fast Forward a Day:
I got blood drawn. They took two vials to check out my hormones. My doctor said that I should get hysterscopy to check out my womb.
(Hysteroscopy is the inspection of the uterine cavity (or in my case WOMB) by endoscopy with access through the cervix) Basically- They are going to put a camera in my womb to make sure everything is okay in there.
That is a Minor Surgery... So I met with the anesthesiologist. He told me what to be ready for... then they gave me 2 pills to take in the morning of the hysteroscopy.

So I will be going in on the 18th to get that done... And then that night... I will get a class about injectables!

***To save time and money... I will have Gustavo do my injections. Bonding time!!!***

We are so excited! We have already picked names and we are hoping that we will get TWINS!!!

PS- I promise that if I use that cool IVF language, I will also have a break down or cheat sheet! That way you won't be lost like I was!!!

Wish us LUCK!!!

Friday the 13th

I returned to work today... It was not an awful day at all! I remember putting SO much time and thought into this day when I was a kid!
I have never liked scary movies... And I am pretty sure that is not going to change! Not Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers or Chucky!!! NONE of that!

I have not watched any SCARY movies in my adult life! Strange because my Mom LOVES that kind of stuff!
The kids will have to try that on their own... PUNK???... Yes... Yes I am. My imagination works well enough on it's own!
Plus: I always watch the NEWS... There are plently of real life, scary things going on that keep me on my toes!

What a year!!!

I have no excuse to why I haven't written... I have been trying to keep myself together with all the craziness that has happened this year. I will not get into it all, as I would like that to stay PRIVATE and keep a bit of my self image!!!

I can honestly say that 2013 has been the worst year of my life!

I thought that it would have been my BEST year since it is DJ and Mimi's GOLDEN year...

Not the case!

I could probably write a New York Times Best Seller with these 9 months of my life!

Betrayal and lies consumed my year... My 2013...

I guess at times you are given crazy situations to see how well you handle them. I must say I believe I deserve an OSCAR!!! I controlled myself better than I ever thought I would. I came to work... And most people would never know that my life was FALLING apart.

I thought that I had friends, friends who loved me and cared about me... But that was not the case. I was merely a person who had expectations of the people that I cared about. I didn't want to see them as they were...  I talked to them about what was going on in my life, my worries and fears. Big Mistake! I felt like I lost myself! Like no one could see me. I saw everyone else having fun and living their lives... Why do I always have to be so responsible?

Jealousy consumes a lot of people around you. You may not be aware of it. The secrets that you share with your "friends" will be used as ammunition against you!

*** Jealousy is an emotion, and the word typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something of great personal value, particularly in reference to an existing connection. Jealousy often consists of a combination of emotions such as anger, resentment,. ETC***

People will spread rumors... Make false judgments... they will LIE, LIE, LIE on you... BUT Remember... You will learn from this. AND be so much stronger!

I know that I have learned a lot and realize that I am a STRONG woman!!!

Remember when a ship is going down... No one wants to see anyone else get in a life boat!

FINALLY~
Things are turning around now!!!

I am happy that my family is back TOGETHER. Gustavo is back from Afghanistan. The kids have returned from their Summer vacation in North Carolina. We are all just adjusting to each other again.

I am so glad that they are back. It makes me happy to know that I have someone on my side when the World is against me.

Our marriage has been VERY hard and I am hoping that compared to this year, we will have SMOOTH SAILING from here on out!

We are building a house (AGAIN) and it should be complete by the end of the year!
